Twenty four faculty in Computer
Science, Mathematics, Psychology, and Neural Science study biological and computational vision and visual cognition.
Together, the four departments offer several core courses in
vision every semester. Three active seminar series bring leading
researchers from around the world to talk about their research
in vision, and a lively journal club reads and critically discusses
recent papers. |

Undergrad and PhD programs in neuroscience. In
the same building as Psychology, many faculty have appts in
both programs. There is a great deal of interaction between
the faculty and students of the two programs, especially in
vision research. |

for Research on Culture, Development and Education |
The Center for Research on Culture, Development,
and Education funded by the National Science Foundation as one
of five Centers nationwide in its Children's Learning Initiative,
is devoted to the study of culture and social contexts as they
influence school readiness, engagement, and performance. Faculty
and students from our Department, as well as from the Department
of Applied Psychology in the Steinhardt School of Education
and the Wagner School of Public Service, are involved with the
Center. |
