New York University Infant Cognition Center
Who We Are Here at the Infant Cognition Center at New York University, we investigate how infants understand objects and people in the world around them. We have found that babies may know a lot more than people used to believe. We would like to invite you and your baby to join us in furthering our understanding of the way babies think. By participating in a single, thirty minute session, your child can provide us with important data that will help us to uncover the answers to important questions about human cognitive development. The studies we are currently conducting explore how babies begin to understand concepts of objects, categories, and number. Our studies are conducted by graduate and undergraduate students under the supervision of Professor Susan Carey. They are sponsored and funded by a grant from the National Science Foundation. Please give us a call at (212) 998-3870 to set up an appointment or to hear more about our studies.
